Pics of the Day 11_7-8_13

I stirred the vermicompost bin for the first time yesterday. There were definitely still worms in there, hopefully doing their job. I've found more than one dried up worm body on my carpet. This whole vermicomposting experiment started back in my first year of teaching, where I had each 6th grade student put one together...like many of my middle experiments, it was a hilarious failure. More than one kid had worms escape. But I guess that's the fun of science--figuring it out.

I caught Pascal in action today going after a cricket. He does this great little balancing act, even without his tail.
