All facetious and snarky comments directed toward smart phones aside, here are pics from the last couple days, plus one extra one from the 10th--I can't help sneaking it in here, because it was a victorious moment for me. Back story: I have always struggled with keeping plants alive, usually because I either forget they exist, or because I over-water them. But I bought a bunch of plants for a terrarium project I added to my grad school application portfolio, and it was a pricey project, so I vowed I would keep the little buggers alive this time. Well, that was probably a month ago or more, and so far so good, until about a week ago when I noticed one of the plants looking weepy and off-color. I immediately tried to figure out what I was doing wrong--was I over-watering, was I not giving them enough oxygen in their enclosed jar, was there not enough topsoil for the roots to grow down....but then I found him. The slug. I thought it was a big ugly grub or an earthworm at first, but it was a slug munching away on my plant. Fortunately for him, I have a soft spot for slugs and snails, so I put him to work in the vermicompost bin. But here he is:
Monday's picture is of my portfolio that I had printed and bound at Staples--it really was easy!--to send to UGA....here's hoping.....
And...my two math tests that I took on Monday and got back today. I ACED my test on logarithms. And got the extra credit. And I aced my introductory stats test as well. Take THAT, mathematics! This English major is on FIRE.
